About

Hi, I’m Moksha Rao! I was born & raised in the colorful city of Mumbai and moved to the United States to continue my artistic journey. I hold an M.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I was awarded the title of Excelsus Laureate.

As a Product Designer at The Weather Channel, I believe in creating design that facilitates, not frustrates. I thrive in a collaborative environment, where my seasoned design, content strategy, and prototyping skills aim to create beautiful app and web interfaces that people enjoy interacting with. My work is intuitive, and thoughtful, translating the complex into the clear. I enjoy mentoring in my free time and being an active member of the creative community.

I live in Atlanta with my partner + dog, and a few of my favorite things include coffee, hiking, classic rock music, reading, making lists, and traveling the world.

“At first glance, the Venn diagram of “Product Designer” and “Indian Dancer-Contortionist” may not seem to have much overlap. But, as Moksha Rao shares with host Meagan Guite, she’s found the two pursuits complement each other in unexpected ways.”

I was interviewed at WABE News (a PBS & NPR affiliate) in partnership with Creative Mornings Atlanta for their podcast Wake Up & Create. Listen to my chat here.

Excelsus Laureate 2019

I was awarded the title of Excelsus Laureate during my graduation in 2019 (the highest honor awarded to a graduate student at the Savannah College of Art & Design). I addressed the class of 2019 during my acceptance speech at the Georgia World Congress Center and dedicated my accomplishment to my late father. View the speech here.
